Agency for Persons with Disabilities
The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) serving the needs of Floridians with developmental disabilities. APD works in partnership with local communities and private providers to assist people who have developmental disabilities and their families. APD also provides assistance in identifying the needs of people with developmental disabilities for supports and services.
Personal Care services for children under 21 WITH A DISABILITY
Servicing Qualified Medicaid recipients from birth through the age of 21 years personal care services in their home. We provide medically necessary assistance, with activities of daily living (ADL) and age appropriate instrumental activities of daily living (IADL) to enable recipients to accomplish tasks they would normally be able to do for themselves if they did not have a medical condition or disability.

Homemaker & Companion Services Providers employ individuals to do housekeeping, cook, run errands, and provide companionship to the elderly and adults with disabilities. They cannot provide any personal care or nursing according to state law.
